 The season is changing... The world is changing.
We're living in tumultuous times. Closer to home, our hopes and dreams are being fulfilled and we are indeed grateful! Rosewater Spa of Oakville celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year; we recently gathered to recognize our incredibly talented staff; we won the 2011 spAWARD as one of Canada's Top 50 Spas; and we are introducing our involvement with the New Oakville Hospital through Project Honeycomb. On a personal note, I'm going to be a grandmother for the second time, later this year. Wonderful news. As we continue watching world events, and preparing for the long awaited arrival of spring, let's celebrate hope for new beginnings.
May all your hopes and dreams come true...

The Fine Art of Taking the Waters!
 This year, staff from both Rosewater Spa locations travelled to beautiful Collingwood for our annual Staff Getaway.
We stayed at the gorgeous Pretty River Valley Country Inn and spent a relaxing day taking the waters at Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain. A few of us are pictured here. We all came away with a new appreciation for the fine art of hospitality, and hope that we will have the pleasure of sharing it with you in 2011.

How I Celebrated the Summer of 2010
 I was the only Canadian to join a private No Compromise Leadership biking tour for 5 days in Vermont and little did I know what I was in for. The first day was far from a warm-up and just a teaser of what was to follow.
It may have taken quite a few miles to work the kinks out of my legs and churn up those Vermont hills but the payoff was more than rewarding. The beauty of the rolling farmland, covered bridges, apple orchards and views of the Adirondacks towering over Lake Champlain was beyond description.

 Chipping Away at My Bucket List...
Earlier this year I was fortunate to receive a bursary to study Italian - in where else - Florence, Italy! Yes, you read that correctly, and no - I didn't dash off to research Italian mud for the Rosewater while I was there. Italy was a dream come true! Italian is truly the world's most loved and loveable language. In my case I got to inhabit "la bella lingua" to explore a little of Italy's history, art, music, lifestyle and food. I returned with a desire to go back again to continue my life long passion for learning new languages.

Summer’s finally arrived! Hopefully one consolation of enduring all the rain in July and August will be a spectacular showing of fall leaves in magnificent bursts of colour. We have so much to look forward to… orchard fresh apples, a new school year for children, and cocooning in front of the fireplace once again.
